ABOUT SAI
Dancer. Choreographer. Entrepreneur.

If you were to ask anyone to describe Zhané Burns they would say she is passionate, eccentric, creative, loving and a stunning dancer. Born and raised in Harlem, Zhané always had a love for dance. She started dancing in her neighborhood dance group and performed at All Stars Dance Competition and Annual Block Parties. Performing was like a drug for her. She loved being on stage and being able to express herself through dance.
At the age of 8 her mother enrolled her in Harlem School of the Arts (HSA) where she trained in Tap, African dance and drums. When she was not in class she would spend hours dancing in her bedroom. After attending Ailey and taking Jazz, Ballet, African, Tap, and Hip Hop she became more interested in creating her own choreography. In October of 2006, she started a praise dance group at her local church.
When she was in High School she met one of her biggest inspirations, Arthur Sabb. Mr. Sabb was Zhane's dance teacher and a former American Ballet Theater dancer. He taught her Modern, Ballet, and African. During her Junior and Senior years she assisted him in choreographing and producing many dance recitals. while at the illustrious Howard University she joined R.A.M.P.A.G.E, a Hip Hop dance team, where they performed on campus and and at many workshops, showcases and competitions in the DMV area.
Zhané also created a dance group for her dormitory and they won 1st place in the 2014 Howard University Best Dance Crew Competition. From ages 21-23 Zhané trained with many Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Dancehall, and House dancers. Now she is finally embarking on her dream of opening her own dance school. Zhane's vision for Versaitile Dance Studio is to be massive within Harlem and eventually expand to other communities.
